Where East Meets West

Turquoise Bays, Ancient History
& World-Class Resorts

Turkey has long been one of the Mediterranean's most compelling destinations, a country where ancient civilisations left extraordinary monuments, where the Aegean and Mediterranean meet in a coastline of extraordinary beauty, and where the luxury hotel scene has, over the past decade, evolved into something genuinely world-class.

The Bodrum Peninsula is the epicentre of luxury Turkey, a rugged, pine-covered headland jutting into the Aegean, with a series of exquisite bays that are home to some of the finest hotels in the entire Mediterranean. The Mandarin Oriental, Six Senses Kaplankaya, and Kempinski Barbaros Bay have all set new standards for what a Turkish resort can be, beautiful in every detail, with spas, food, and service that compete with anywhere in the world. Further along the coast, Fethiye and the Turquoise Coast offer a wilder, more natural landscape, with the Hillside Beach Club among the finest beach resorts in Europe.

Istanbul, meanwhile, is one of the world's great cities, a place where Byzantine domes and Ottoman minarets share the skyline, where the Bosphorus divides two continents, and where the food, culture, and energy are endlessly compelling. We can build Istanbul into any Turkey itinerary, or create a standalone city break that does the city justice. Either way, Turkey rewards discovery, and we know it well.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

For the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts (Bodrum, Fethiye, Antalya), May, June, September, and October are ideal, warm (25–30°C), sunny, and without the intense heat of July and August (which can reach 38–40°C). Peak summer is busy but the sea is at its warmest and most inviting. For Istanbul, spring (April–May) and autumn (September–October) are wonderful, warm, pleasant, and less crowded than summer. The luxury resorts typically open from May and close in October or November.

It genuinely depends on what you're looking for. For the ultimate wellness and spa experience in a remote, spectacular setting, Six Senses Kaplankaya is hard to surpass anywhere in the world. For the most beautiful and dramatic location on the Bodrum Peninsula, the Mandarin Oriental on its private bay is exceptional. For design and a more lively atmosphere, the Kempinski Barbaros Bay is outstanding. For barefoot, isolated beach luxury, the Hillside Beach Club in Fethiye is in a different league. We'll help you choose based on your specific priorities.

Yes, UK passport holders require an e-Visa to visit Turkey, which must be obtained online before travel at evisa.gov.tr. The process is straightforward and takes a few minutes, with the visa valid for 90 days within a 180-day period. The current cost is around $60 USD. We'll remind you to apply when you book, and advise on any changes to entry requirements ahead of your trip.

Absolutely, and it's one of the most satisfying combinations in European travel. A few nights in Istanbul followed by a week on the Bodrum Peninsula or Fethiye coast is a perfectly paced and deeply rewarding itinerary.
