Welcome to Antarctica

The World's Last
Great Wilderness

Welcome to the awe-inspiring world of Antarctic exploration. Step into a realm of pristine wilderness, where towering glaciers, shimmering icebergs, and abundant wildlife create an unforgettable experience.

Embark on a voyage to the southernmost continent, where you can witness the breathtaking landscapes of the Antarctic Peninsula, encounter penguins, seals, and whales in their natural habitats, and marvel at the sheer beauty of this remote and untouched region. Prepare to be humbled by the grandeur of Antarctica, a place that will leave you in awe of its raw and unblemished beauty.

During the Austral summer, the continent comes to life. Extended daylight hours mean more time to sail past colossal icebergs, observe playful penguins up close, and perhaps catch a glimpse of majestic whales breaking the surface. Warmer temperatures allow for land excursions to research stations, where you can get up close with the unique flora and fauna that call this icy realm home.

Wildlife is particularly active during the summer season, providing photographers and nature enthusiasts with remarkable opportunities at every turn. An Antarctic expedition is, without question, one of the most extraordinary journeys a traveller can undertake, and one that stays with you for the rest of your life.

Best Time to Visit Antarctica

Austral Summer, November to March

The only practical window for Antarctic expeditions, milder temperatures, extended daylight, and wildlife at its most active. November brings the first penguin chicks; January and February offer the best whale sightings; March sees the final departures before winter closes in.

Book Early

Antarctic expedition ships have limited berths and departures sell out well in advance, often 12 to 18 months ahead. We recommend planning your expedition at least a year before your intended travel date to secure the best itineraries and cabins.
